Can we change the past?

We are all in control of the story that we create in our minds and how we create those stories is based on many factors - not just the moment the story is created.. So, how do we rewire those hurtful thought processes that tie us to the stories that ultimately cause us suffering?  Can we change the past or at least how we perceive it? I think sometimes yes and I think sometimes no. I certainly try and sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is not.  A lot depends on my own personal attachment to my story and how deeply woven it is in the patterns and habits of my life as well as how conscious of them I am.  Many times I am able to the beauty of it and re-frame it.  Through meditation and the practices that work for me more often than not I am able to find the beauty of it and re-frame it.  Truthfully, it is seldom easy - at least for me..

Jason Silva, whose thoughts I only recently discovered, has some interesting thoughts on the past and the story that I find pretty interesting and certainly thought provoking.
