Since I was just a young high school teenager I have found the philosophy of Taoism fascinating. I have absorbed books and read from the Tao Te Ching most days of my life. The teachings of Lao Tzu bring me comfort and guidance when the world I am a part of seems out of balance and out of control. I can find grounding and resonance in the words of this great teacher. And, putting into practice these teachings brings me closer to non-attachment and the present moment.
The link is from Uplift.com and is an interpretation of Lao Tzu's Rules for Living. I try my best to live by these rules because they make sense to me. There are versions of these 'Rules' every where and in most philosophies. Lao Tzu's way of expressing it resonates with me better than others that I have read.
