I spend a lot of time considering the quest for 'happiness' vs contentment. And have decided to not seek happiness, but instead seek contentment. The simple difference in the subtlety of language frees me from a great deal of suffering and wishing things were different. It releases me from an unrealistic attachment to an idea of what my life should look like. The result? I find myself much more content a lot more often and feel the truest song of my heart.
