Northern Lights Time Lapse

I have not yet had the fortune of seeing the Northern Lights, but I have always wanted to.

This pale greenish color is the most common color of the Aurora Borealis.  The colors of light come from the collision of gas particles in the Earth's atmosphere and charged particles from the sun's atmosphere.  This green that paints the sky is due to oxygen molecules above the Earth.  Curious to know more about the Northern Lights?
