We have a family of Mourning Dove's who have lived in our neighborhood for a few years. In August one of their babies was in our garden. At first, we had no idea who this feathered critter could be. But, I love a good natural mystery and immediately tracked down who it was once I knew it was safe and not injured.

Pigeon's are not however, Mourning Dove's. They ARE in the same bird family, the Columbida and share in many behaviors. Thus, unlocking potentially a new layer in the Spring when these two love birds begin getting ready for their babies..
