I’m turning 50 in April. To celebrate I’m going to ride my bike 50 miles on April 13 with any friends who want to join me for a day of paved country roads. (There is also a 50k in case you don’t want to ride 50 miles) I’m not a super fast rider so my pace will probably be somewhere between 14-16mph, but make the ride your own, do your own thing, just have a great day on the bike. We will leave out from Pittard Park at 9AM.
Instead of gifts I’m raising funds for the Friends of the Firefly Winterville. We are working on a native plant garden. If you know me at all you know how much I love that. They want to make it a teaching garden which really makes me happy. I love Winterville. You can send donations to my venmo @chickadeehubb (just write for firefly) or on the day of my ride you can give me cash. You can also write the city of Winterville a check. I’d love to give them a big donation to help the native teaching garden grow.
There is no support for this ride - though on the 50 mile loop there is a store - and everyone rides at their own risk. Helmets required. Lights preferable.
