Alarming squirrels
Wrens 'peterdittin'
...Leaves raining to the forest floor
I solved a longtime natural mystery of who makes the sonar call this time of year.
The hermit thrush is back
Looking back to see what I was looking at this time last year...
Breath...
Patterns...
Bluejays Breath
Visible Sound
Carried
Through
the warm
breath...
The exhale
bound within
the call...
Air
and sound
illuminated
by the bright
light
now visible
where green leaves
clung
only weeks ago...
Warm breath
meets cold air.
Together
they hold each other
and
the sound evaporates
into the space
held
by another
bluejay
in the distance...
Cricket chirps
scurrying squirrels
the soft 'dit' of wren
filled my short sit spot today.
