We did not experience a big snow by any stretch this year.
This one was enough to be beautiful.
It was enough to make me wonder if I live somewhere that had more snow than we do if I would get anything done...
I think I would obsessively look for tracks...
This is a small portion of a very large flock of pine siskins.
The crows are simply not having it.
They are unwilling to share their space with this red shouldered hawk.
I sat and watched the same crow dive bomb the hawk for at least five minutes today.
The hawk seemed mildly amused...
And mildly annoyed.
We have a flock of finch that moved into the neighborhood overnight. They seem like they are not very excited to share with the neighbors already here. We will see how this plays out.
