Pine

This morning was shared with a vole moving under the leaves and feeling like I was involved in an epic cat and mouse game of where will the vole come out at so I can catch a glimpse of its face (unlike a cat I don't wish to eat it). Watching it closely come to and from I am amazed I haven't noticed its run before today.  Now, I have many new questions about voles.

Safe Place

I finally made it to the store yesterday to get a big bag of black oil sunflower seeds - evidently the only seed my bird friends care for - within minutes of dumping the feeder and refilling it I had three male cardinals, Miriam (the female), wrens, a hermit thrush, and unidentified warbler, a flock of titmouse, and the chickadees.  When they finished a young squirrel made its way over.  I scared it when it was time for me to go.

This lesson is officially learned - Black Oil Sunflower Seeds ONLY.

Welcome back friends.
