Well...
There's rain
and a lot of it today....
the ground is saturated
but in between pours
the titmouse
and the cardinals
and the chickadees
have been wonderfully busy
at the feeders.

Things were pretty quiet in the neighborhood...
until the neighbors cranked up their chainsaws...

Thinking about the great turning inward
on the longest night of the year.
As the light begins its return
tomorrow
I will be looking out for the bluebirds
who have been visiting us
the last few days in the maple by the porch.
