It was dark longer than usual this morning and the dawn chorus was delayed due to rain and heavy skies.

There was winters nip in the air this morning as I sat in the dark awaiting the Sun to pass over the horizon. The dawn chorus is such a symphony of sound on a blue sky morning and yet it seems so short.
