The view from my happy place after a busy day turning soil. There's a flicker, a great crested fly catcher, the summer tanagers have arrived, the wood thrush sings in the morning, there are juvenile chickadees.. and I am grateful for my slow paced life.
Brook
Morning..
Exhaling..
In the wind
Under the swaying branches
Before the rain
And the retreat
The first full breath
Of daylight.
Breath.
Barnardsville
Wood Thrush
Babbling Creek
Blue sky
Wandering
But not lost
Homesick
But home
Friends song
Held in the notes of the Louisiana Waterthrush
Spring has sprung
Quiet mind
Space
And wonder..
Tick tock
Adventure calls..
Elder Bridge
I actually took this earlier this week after visiting a sweet friend and a walk in the woods. It's been raining here all day and though I managed to get out in between rain storms today but I didn't manage to carry my camera. This amazing marvel of human creation was built in 1857.. passing through it is like leaving the quiet world of the Little Rose and crossing back into the busy world we all try to function in.
