Sharing moments of Stillness and Silence
It was under
this old sourwood
my sit spot began.
The winter nip is in the air tonight.
The traffic on the highway is speeding way from town.
People seem to drive a little faster on their way home than they do in the mornings on their to work.
Birds too and from the bird feeder all day.
The wrens have moved in under the porch.
Raccoons make their rounds nightly.
A near perfect weather day spend at South Jackson Elementary School building our observational skills.
We listened to trees and found treasures along the trail.
I sat in the woods before the kids came down and watching the dew evaporate as the sun warmed the earth.
When the first kids arrived
they came in so quiet that the birds
only hooked up and got quiet enough
to see what was going on.
Beautiful.
