Sharing moments of Stillness and Silence
For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is to let it rain.
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.
~John Muir
A near perfect weather day spend at South Jackson Elementary School building our observational skills.
We listened to trees and found treasures along the trail.
I sat in the woods before the kids came down and watching the dew evaporate as the sun warmed the earth.
When the first kids arrived
they came in so quiet that the birds
only hooked up and got quiet enough
to see what was going on.
Beautiful.
Fog
hugs the earth
this morning
while water droplets
hung on leaves
gather together and
drip to the ground.
Each day
the view
through the forest
becomes
more
transparent.
Things have been kind of quiet in our world of Adventure Seeking. Instead our current adventure is building our garden.
