Order

Watching this day wake up and spring into life I was considering how sitting each day brings order to the mental emotional clutter of my heart.

The clearer my heart becomes the more I see the natural order of the universe, the seasons, and life...

the more peaceful I feel.

I like order.

It makes sense to me.

Even within chaos and growth there is a subtle order that is rooted in survival.

Mahonia

Even when it's pouring...

Even when my heart is breaking...

And I think there can be no more...

there is light...

There is always light...

It peaks through the cracks...

It reflects off the drops of rain that will eventually fall to the saturated earth...

Sometimes I have to look for it...

Sometimes it stares me straight in the face...

Thankfully, it is always there.

Dinner

When I consider the critter who left this behind I wondered how long it was there...

Did it take the acorn from the leaves in the garden? Or did they come from a tree in the yard?

Looking at the spot it seems like a pretty good vantage point from the place this rock is in the yard...

Does it eat here often? Or have I just missed it?

I hope it was a yummy acorn...
